What level of play should I choose for tennis training?
Choosing the right level for your tennis training is crucial to learning effectively and enjoying the game. Here you will find an overview of the different performance levels so that you can assess exactly which level suits you best.
Beginner
Beginner 1
Suitable for complete newcomers: You have never played tennis before or have only been on the court a few times with friends. Here you will learn the basics such as racket position, feel for the ball and first stroke techniques.
Beginner 2
Suitable for tennis beginners: You've already been on the court several times, maybe even taken 1 - 2 coaching lessons. You sometimes hit the ball quite well, but still have little control and need practice for more consistency.
Intermediate
Intermediate 1
Suitable for beginners with basic knowledge: You have already played a few times and can hit the ball over the net. However, longer rallies and targeted shot placement are still a challenge for you.
Intermediate 2
Suitable for experienced beginners: You can execute most strokes and basic techniques, but still play irregularly. The timing, precision and consistency of your strokes can be improved. This level is also suitable for players who played regularly in their youth but have had a longer break.
Advanced players
Advanced 1
Suitable for advanced recreational players: You have mastered the basic strokes, can place the ball in a targeted manner and have a certain tactical understanding. However, you are not yet playing at a high competitive level. (Comparatively up to LK 18 - 25)
Advanced 2
Suitable for ambitious recreational players: You play regularly at a higher level and can control rallies well. You have a lot of playing experience and work specifically on your technique and strategy. (Comparatively LK 10 - 16)
Experts and competitive players
Expert
Suitable for experienced competitive players: You play at a high club or regional tournament level. Your technique is solid, you have a strong tactical understanding and are mentally strong. (Comparatively below LK10)
